Assistant Professor of Finance
Thank you for visiting my website!
I am currently an Assistant Professor of Finance at Tilburg University. I received my PhD in Finance in May 2017 from Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to my PhD studies, I earned a M.Sc. in Economic System Engineering and B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran.
My main research interests lie in the field of entrepreneurial finance, but I am also interested in the topics in corporate finance, household finance, as well as labor and finance. My most recent research is focused on the effect of financial constraints on entrepreneurial activities. More specifically, I investigate how family wealth (the wealth of parents, siblings, grandparents, and aunts/uncles) stimulates entry into entrepreneurship and affects the size and composition of firm capital through direct and indirect financing channels. I am also working on a project studying serial entrepreneurship.
